Double Mountain Brewery - Devil's Kriek
Style: Flanders Red Ale
ABV: 9.30%      IBU: 9.0

Cherry season is upon us once again, and that means it’s time to peer into the tanks that have been sitting in the cellar for the last year or so. When we checked in on this slumbering beauty we found her to be funky, refreshingly tart, and devilishly deep crimson. Local Bing and Van cherries from the Double Mountain Orchard from the Columbia Gorge lend the color and a juicy character.

Double Mountain Brewery - Dry Cider
Style: Cider
ABV: 6.70%

For our first Dry Cider, we kept it simple and local. Newtons and old world cider apples from the Double Mountain Orchard were pressed and fermented on our house yeast strain. We gave it plenty of time to dry out and develop wondrous aromas of juicy pear, lychee, green fruit, and chamomile. It finishes tart, crisp, dry, and quenching.

Style: New England IPA
ABV: 6.80%      IBU: 75.0

“In these unsteady times, it’s fitting to bring back our Clusterf#ck IPA beer for the occasion. This year seems particularly clustered, so we made it a hazy. Clusters used throughout. What a wonderful hop. Tradition. And then we pivot.”

Double Mountain Brewery - Juicy, Clearly Not Hazy
Style: American IPA
ABV: 5.90%      IBU: 25.0

Not all Juicy IPA’s need to be hazy. Pour in to a dense tropical rainforest dripping with the sticky, delicious mango, kind herb, and ripe orange. The taste of the tropics continues in the rounded body, leaving only a whisper of bitterness. Juicy? Clearly.

Double Mountain Brewery - Killer Red
Style: Red IPA
ABV: 7.20%      IBU: 88.0

Killer Red has distinct apple/pine/orange notes from the hops, and pulls that biscuit/caramel character you find in our India Red Ale (“IRA”). Drinks like it’s IRA, but the extra strength is worth respecting.

Double Mountain Brewery - Kolsch

ABV: 5.20%      IBU: 40.0

In Cologne, many a brewery produces a light-bodied ale with a delicate fruitiness and rounded maltiness, attributable to the unique yeast strain commonly used. Our Kölsch is unfiltered and more generously hopped than its German cousin

Double Mountain Brewery - Molten Lava
Style: Imperial IPA
ABV: 9.40%      IBU: 90.0

Molten is the most aggressive IPA in our little family, yet it somehow manages a great balance… while still achieving full hop overdrive. This year’s offering is stronger than the last and features a more complex hop bill, with citrus notes dominating. Dry-hopped with enormous bagfuls of whole hop flowers, which provide added aroma and flavor without harsh bitterness. Watch out, this brew is deadly!

Double Mountain Brewery - Randall Knife
Style: India Pale Ale
ABV: 7.00%      IBU: 50.0

Inspired by Guy Clark’s intense and personal storytelling, we bring you our next installment in our Lost Songwriter Series. We used large rations of Mosaic and Citra hops for this IPA. A no nonsense malt bill and the house Kölsch yeast put these hops in the spotlight. The dewy scent of evergreen carves its way through a thicket of bright tropical citrus. “Now if you’ve ever held a Randall Knife, you know my father well. If a better blade was ever made, it was probably forged in hell.”

Double Mountain Brewery - Sweet Jane
Style: American IPA
ABV: 7.40%      IBU: 85.0

This beer is a continued quest to find what it is we’re looking for. This one has a great hook up front with tropical rainforest and evergreen singing a catchy chorus. It’s encouraged by solid background vocals and subtle tone warmth in the malt bill. It’s smooth and easy, but also a little edgy. A little rock and roll. Like a good song, the chorus rolls back through, haunting one more time. Sweet Jane!

The "IRA", as it’s known around here, marries a ruby red color and rich body with the hop flavors of an IPA. Our unique ale yeast strain adds a delicious layer of complexity. One of the first beers we made, and an enduring favorite.

Double Mountain Brewery - The Vaporizer
Style: Dry Hopped Ale
ABV: 6.00%      IBU: 50.0

“THE VAPORIZER” is a golden-hued Pale Ale that features a beautifully hoppy aroma and flavor. The malt is 100% Gambrinus Pilsner, our sweet and supple house malt from Gambrinus Malting in British Columbia. The hops are primarily of the Challenger variety, grown on a single farm in the Yakima Valley. Matt and his team dry-hop “THE VAPORIZER” to pump up the hoppy goodness. It’s an appetizingly dry, clean and pure-tasting take on a hoppy Pale Ale, if we do say so ourselves. And we do.
