Arbor Ale is the logical evolution of years of developing Pale Ale with the goal of harmony and quality of malt and hop expression. Brewed with a measured split of lush, biscuity Maris Otter and clean cracker like Pilsner Malt, the desired mouthfeel is achieved that feels generous yet effortlessly clean and focused. Generously hopped with a spectrum of noble and contemporary hops to express a pleasant faint balsam and resinous quality with overtones of zest and juicy ripe citrus.

Halcyon Pale Ale was born as an ode to our favorite modern Belgian pale ales then reinterpreted through Dutchess’ own English-American lens. Crisp, dry, and bursting with lively noble hops - all held together with a firm classic bitterness that stirs the palate and refreshes the senses. Brewed with the finest Flemish summer barley, with generous Chinook, Styrian Golding, Saphir hops selected for their distinct subtle aromas of evergreen, white grapefruit, lemongrass, and orchard blossoms. Fermented cold with Dutchess’ house Lager strain, Halcyon is a clean, dynamic old world Pale Ale that makes a bold new impression.

This XPA (Extra Pale Ale) is a celebration of noble hop refinement and Old World malt and yeast culture. Hopped and dry hopped with Styrian Goldings (Celia), East Kent Goldings and Bramling Cross - layers of herbal dynamism reveal spicy notes of blackcurrant, lemon zest, spring botanicals. Subtle floral and stone fruit esters match a superb balance of malt character and a crisp snappy bitterness. The resulting pint is one full of depth, complexity and refreshment.

Dutchess Ales - Optant Alsatian Pilsner

Optant is a Pilsner lovingly inspired from our brewer’s ancestral homeland, Metz in the heart of French Alsace. The name references those who kept French citizenship following the Franco-Prussian war. For this Pilsner, luckily we have a little from both sides of the divide: Heirloom German malt, and glorious French Alsatian hops. Bracingly crisp with delicate minerality and a touch of bitterness. Lively exquisite herbal and citrus aromas linger in this classic and effervescent continental Pils.

Dutchess Ales - Orakel Landbier
Style: Euro Pale Lager

Orakel Landbier is a crisp, German-style country lager that finds inspiration in heirloom Bavarian malts and the history of brewing with ancient grains. Made primarily with Isaria, the oldest native German barley variety, a malt reminiscent of flakey biscuits - small amounts of Bavarian spelt and buckwheat add a delicate nutty and pastoral charm. Hopped with Northern Brewer, Perle and Hallertau Mittelfrüh, Orakel provides gentle notes of orange oils, pinewood and treacle on the way to lush and balanced mouthfeel that refreshes and restores.

A base of heirloom German Pilsner malt provides a lush, brioche-like malt character with Saphir, Saaz, and Spalt Select hops lending complex botanical and faintly resinous hop aromas of sage and pink peppercorn with delicate lime blossom and honey notes. Held in balance with with a classic firm Pilsner bitterness and a crystalline, snappy finish, Pylon is a loving addition to the noble Pils tradition.
