Fond du Lac was once nearly named Fountain City, inspired by the natural artesian wells that once flowed throughout the area. With water like that, we figured it deserved a great house Amber.
Amber ales have long been a Wisconsin staple—malt-forward, balanced, and made for sharing across the bar. When we set out to brew ours, we didn’t settle for good enough. Batch after batch, we refined the recipe, dialing in the toast, caramel, and smooth balance until it was exactly where we wanted it.
The result is Fountain City Amber—a tribute to local history and to brewing a truly great Wisconsin Amber.
