Pawpaw (Asimina triloba) is North America’s largest native edible tree fruit. For over a decade, we’ve sourced this elusive subtropical fruit from a Chatham County orchard planted by our dear friend Wynn Dinnsen. Sadly, Wynn left us shortly after the 2022 pawpaw harvest. Since his passing, we’ve been the caretakers of his Chatham County pawpaw patch, hand-gathering and processing the thousands of pawpaws that go into this beer. As for the beer itself, Dinnsen's Orchard is a Belgian-style Tripel that relies on an Abbey ale yeast full of banana and bubblegum esters, which pair perfectly with the pawpaw’s natural banana, mango, and pineapple flavors. It’s a tropical explosion in a glass that relies on yeast and fruit -- not hops -- for a burst of juicy flavor. Join us as welcome the return of Dinnsen’s Orchard and celebrate Wynn’s legacy. Without Wynn, there is no Dinnsen’s Orchard.
