Lenny Boy Brewing Co. - American-Style Gueuze
Style: Lambic
ABV: 4.00%

This is an American version of a blend of old lambic and fresh lambic. We took a mixed culture barrel aged beer that was aged on strawberries and blended it with a slightly less old barrel aged culture blonde. The resulting beer is complex sour, with nice structural tannins from the barrels. The strawberries are not noticeable but do provide some comlexity.

This golden American sour was aged in pinot noir barrels on N.C. scuppernongs for 6 months. It was then blended with an 8 week old clean and fruity sour made from a blend of wild cultured lactobacillus and our house ale yeast. There were no hops added to this beer and fresh scuppernong juice was added to the brite tank before kegging to bring out more of a wild grape note.
