Unlike our prior barrel fermented sour ales, Wandering Abroad was stainless fermented using Sourvisiae yeast from @lallemandbrewing. This innovative yeast was bioengineered to produce high levels of lactic acid, eliminating the need for mixed fermentation or kettle souring. Pretty rad, right? We couldn’t resist packing this very special beer full of @masumoto_family_farm La Grande Nectarines. The end result is a puckering sour patch kid punch of lemon, orange and nectarine tartness. The underlying beer is effervescent with a pleasant haze from a protein rich malt base.
