It starts off as a traditional ‘Export Stout’ in the spirit of those brewed in the British Isles for export to the high courts of Russia in the 18th century, but is quickly brought home with the addition of El Dorado County Petite Sirah. This merriment emboldens the already present dark fruit and candied cherry found in this beer and heightens it with a cleansing acidity and age not normally found in a 10.3% abv beer.

Gneiss is named after a metamorphic rock, which are some of the oldest rocks found in The Giant's Causeway in Ireland. At 4.2% ABV, this beer has a medium-light body and is highly drink-able. It is served on nitro for a creamy consistency. Its bitterness comes from a generous amount of roasted barley. Gneiss is not a beer meant for "babysitting".

This pale ale is inspired by the American Hefeweizen brewed by Anchor Brewing in San Francisco in the early 1980’s. Our version mirrors those examples in body and creaminess; a natural product of the large amounts of wheat in the grist. However, our beer deviates from there. We hop our version heavily with varietals that bring large amounts of bright citrus, juicy tropical fruit, and a touch of rosemary.

Pharaoh’s Island is located off the coast of Egypt. This beer was co-fermented with 12% late harvest Muscat of Alexandria. It is deep ruby in color and has aromas of cognac, fruitcake, bubblegum, and mulled cider. On the palette, there are flavors of spiced fruits, cinnamon, and gingerbread; which has a lingering warmth with mild sweetness and complimenting hops.

This beer was co-fermented with local Barsotti Family apple juice and our Le Champ saison in a Vineyard 29, Saint Helena Pinot Noir barrel.
