The latest in our NE Style IPA series, Duck Duck Joose is decidedly different than our first two Hazy IPAs. Built with a 50 / 50 mix of wheat and barley, we added almost no bittering hops to the batch and added massive amounts of Pacific Gem, Huell Melon, Mosaic, Simcoe, and even whole leaf Belma hops to the whirlpool and in two separate dry hops. The resulting beer has a super smooth month feel and a refreshing finish with berry notes.

This beer was brewed in partnership with the Sonoma Volunteer Firefighters Association for their bravery and continuing support of the community in which we live. Without their civic duty and protection from the blazing inferno that started almost a year ago at the Riverside Center, we may not still be here today, offering this Double Red Ale as a thank you for their service. This American-style Red Ale is full bodied with a lingering malt finish. The malted grains begin with a spicy rye flavor on the front palate and round out in notes of plum, prunes and subtle orange. These residual fruit flavors are created mainly from a Dark Crystal malt and balanced with hops that range from herbal to pepper like aromas.
