The folks at High Branch Brewing and your lovely Birdsongers put their heads together to create “Bastille Day,” a tart saison with malts from Riverbend Malt House in Asheville. High Branch brought a super sour brew to the table while the folks over here brewed up a yummy saison style. You’ll find some light lemon and mint characteristics on the nose, but it’s very clean on the palate with a softened rye malt trait.

Style: Wet Hop IPA
ABV: 6.30% IBU: 60.0

“So Fresh” is indeed the freshest around. We used Idaho 7 hops overnighted from the Northwest as a showcase hop in this beer. Why Idaho 7? Well, for starters this unique hop is a “budding” hop varietal that hasn’t been as widely used as other hops. Hints of dank resin, orange citrus and tropical fruits are highlighted for a full hop experience. In our brewer Jeff’s words, So Fresh is “utterly delicious".

We filled barrles with our MexiCali Stout and let the beer age for 11 months. We then blended it with a fresh batch of MexiCali Stout and added cacao nibs and cinnamon for an extra kick. The result is a smooth, delicious stout with hints of bourbon and spice. It's not the MexiCali you're used to, so expect some changes!

We use Central Coffee Co.’s Sumatra Lintong coffee and carefully chosen specialty malts to create a warm foundation and light body. Madagascar vanilla beans lend a subtle sweetness on the finish that you’ll notice at the end of every velvety sip.
