An ale that thinks its a lager
An ale that thinks it’s a lager… Okay, so what we mean is that this ale was brewed in the traditional German style known as Kölsch that hails from Cologne, Germany - the beer is fermented using ale yeast (ferments warmer, about 65° - 69° Fahrenheit) and then cold conditioned at traditional lager temperatures (about 32° - 36° Fahrenheit.) And what you end up with is a beer with the crispness of a lager that can be produced a bit quicker, since lagers tend to sit for many weeks at a time.
