Originally high-gravity stouts brewed for tropical markets (and hence, sometimes known as “Tropical Stouts”). Our version is moderately dry with roasted malt and chocolate character. Named after a great song by one of our favorite bands, Flogging Molly, Tobacco Island is about the capture/deportation of Irish people to the Carribean area to work basically as slaves, during Oliver Cromwell's rule.
