South Shore Brewery - Applefest Ale
Style: Ale
ABV: 6.30%      IBU: 18.0

A seasonal beer with very special significance. This beer honors those diligent folks that call this place, our Bayfield peninsula, their home. Especially those who have chosen an agricultural way of life. It' production is reserved for the time of harvest and showcases the pride these people have in one's accomplishments. It also only comes about once a year. Inspired by Bayfield's renowned Applefest, which is celebrated with extraordinary fanfare, the South Shore Brewery shares in the moment through this brew. Combining the flavors and aromas of locally produced honey, apple cider and specialty malts, we have produced one of the most unique products to be sure. Because of the generous amounts of honey, the special maturation process with the apple cider and the unique flavors of malt, this brew is indefinable in conventional beer terms. It has characteristics of beer, mead and champagne. Our brewer encourages you to cellar a bottle or two for special occasions.

South Shore Brewery - Ice Caves White IPA
Style: White IPA
ABV: 6.80%      IBU: 55.0

Our Witbier recipe meets hops. Witbiers are known for their use of spices and orange peel with a generous use of white wheat malt in the grist.. The grist works with the orange peel to impart a smooth mouthfeel with a bright and pleasantly mild orange flavor. We enhanced those characteristics with hops known for their citrus overtones. No doubt you will find their presence, but it is effectively paired with the smooth character of the underlying malts. This allows both the spices and hops to both shine through in this refreshing IPA.

South Shore Brewery - Island Hopper IPA
Style: American IPA
ABV: 6.60%      IBU: 46.0

This IPA is very transparent in its ingredients. Featuring mainly our two row base malt and very little specialty malt this light colored IPA is all about the yeast and hops. A unique yeast strain ferments this ale at very warm temperatures, giving off flavors reminiscent of pineapple. There is only one type of hop used in this IPA, that being Azacca. Named after the Haitian god of agriculture these hops and tropical notes of mango and papaya. Both these keys ingredients led to this hazy blonde IPA that reminds the brewers of a tropical fruit smoothie. Enjoy!

As a cream ale it combines the features of a lager (crisp and smooth) with the best of an ale (fruity and complex) into one beer. We’ve also added 5% oatmeal and 16% white wheat for a round, smooth flavor and mouthfeel. Additionally, we’ve introduced a blend of herbs into the finished product.

South Shore Brewery - Rhoades' Scholar Stout
Style: Stout
ABV: 6.30%      IBU: 36.0

Its' honorary status is in tribute to its' designer, Allen Rhoades, a fellow brewer who captured a blue ribbon at the Western Washington State Fair when it was entered as a homebrew. It's everything a stout should be. Rich and hearty, not thick and overpowering, comes complete with a creamy head. Chocolate and crystal malts along with roasted barley combine to create the wonderful flavor. Compliments desserts well and try one in place of a cup of coffee.
