Berliner Weisse is a low strength sour beer traditionally served with a sweet syrup made with fruit or Woodruff, an aromatic herb. In this case, we decided to add the fruit straight to the fermenter for a different take. Gooseberries, in this case, add their distinctly, unique, sweet-tart flavor to the already tart brew. Coming in at just over 3% ABV, this hazy, kettle-soured beauty is sure to pique the interest of summer sippers.
