Evil Horse Brewing Co. - Connemara
Style: Irish Dry Stout
ABV: 4.60% IBU: 40.0

A unique beer in that it's pitch black but not heavy at all. Bitterness is not only derived from hops but also from roasted un-malted barley. You won't see any light through this beer but it is very quaffable and pleasing. Notes of dark chocolate and espresso without a lot of malt sweetness. It finishes quite dry and refreshing.

	Evil Horse Brewing Co. - Doorbreken Style: Belgian Quadruple ABV: 9.00% IBU: 16.0 This is a Belgian abbey style beer. The color of this beer is a deep reddish amber. It has a fruity component in the aroma and flavor. It is also quite malty with notes of spices and dry fruits. Bitterness is quite low. It finishes sweet but without being cloying.

There is considerable sweetness and body because we added Milk sugar (Lactose) which is unfermentable. The palate has notes of roasted grain and chocolate along with a moderate coffee flavor. Evil Horse Brewing Co. - Gezelligator
Style: Doppelbock
ABV: 8.50% IBU: 16.0

This beer isa rich malty lager. We use mostly German Munich malt which gives the beer a toasty, sweet malt complexity. WE also use decoction mashing which accentuates the malt character. there is just the right amount on Hallertau Hersbucker hops to give the beer a nice balance. It is relatively high in alcohol so it will keep you warm on those cold late winter early spring nights. While fairly sweet it still finishes dry and crisp.

Evil Horse Brewing Co. - Gokudo
Style: Black IPA
ABV: 7.60% IBU: 77.0

Big, Bold and unique is what this beer is all about. It has a distinct spicy, toasted quality from chocolate Rye Malt without having any roasted malt flavors. The featured hop in this beer, Sorachi Ace was unleashed in the East as a hop distinctly bred for Japanese brewers. Possibly the most unique of all hops it has the flavor and aroma of Lemon, dill, cedar and caraway. It’s relatively high in bitterness without being overpowering.

	Evil Horse Brewing Co. - Grampa Z'Big A$$ Style: Barleywine ABV: 11.00% IBU: 60.0 Malt upon malt here. Notes of caramel, toffee, hints of molasses and dried dark fruits. A traditional English style barley wine with moderate hop bitterness to balance the intensely rich, chewy maltiness. In the end there is pleasant alcohol warmth to warm the soul.

Creamy malt sweetness from the wheat as well as notes of clove and banana that are unique to this brew. Notably hazy from the yeast in suspension but with light golden straw color. Sometimes served with a lemon as the tartness balances the malty sweetness.

A very complex beer that packs a hop wallop. While it’s very high in IBU’s it’s also very balanced with a rich malt complexity, but it is not overly sweet. There are seven varieties of hops in this beer which adds to the complexities. This Double IPA is dry hopped with Calypso hops which is a unique variety, delivering aromas "unlike anything else." Exploding with tropical fruit and sweet apple-pear.

A very complex beer that packs a hop wallop. While it’s very high in IBU’s (99.8) it’s also very balanced with a rich malt complexity, but it is not overly sweet. There are seven varieties of hops in this beer which adds to the complexity. El Dorado brings bright tropical fruit flavors and aromas of pear, watermelon, and stone fruit.

Style: India Pale Ale
ABV: 6.50% IBU: 86.0

We took a turn to the west for our Lupulor series with this beer. The style this time is a west coast IPA. It is dry hopped with Lemondrop hops. The aroma has a bright lemony character with a touch of Lemon peel. As this style goes there is a bit more initial bitterness while still being balanced. There is a nice maltiness in the flavor but the focus is hops. The finish is balanced with a pleasant lemony flavor.

	Evil Horse Brewing Co. - Moanin' Minnie Style: Brown Ale ABV: 4.20% IBU: 23.0 A dark amber ale with reddish/brown highlights. Fruity aromas of dark fruit and chocolate dominate. There are notes of caramel and toasted malt in the flavor. Very little hop flavor is present but with adequate bitterness to balance the malt sweetness. The beer finishes with a pleasant dry aftertaste.

Evil Horse Brewing Co. - Paxon The Ponyless
Style: American Porter
ABV: 5.70% IBU: 45.0

A meal in a glass as this beer is named after the “porter” who served as London’s bike messenger in the late1800’s and early 1900’s. Notes of coffee, chocolate and roasted malt dominate this beer without being too heavy. There’s just the right amount of bitterness to balance the rich malt sweetness and robust character.

Style: New England IPA
ABV: 7.10% IBU: 11.0

This is a collaboration we did with Rock Bottom Brewery in Orland Park. Aromas of Orange and Grapefruit greet you with this juicy citrus bomb. Don’t let the IBU’s fool you, there is plenty of hops in this delicious brew. Very low initial bitterness and moderate malt sweetness is the what come first in the flavor. That is followed by a big grapefruit and juicy citrus explosion! The beer finishes with hop flavors tickling your taste buds.

We did a single decoction to bring out even more of the malt character. There is just enough Hallertau Hersbrucker hops to add a very balanced bitterness. The finish is nicely toasty and sweet.

Style: American Pale Ale
ABV: 5.60% IBU: 10.0

Bright golden in color, low in bitterness, a pleasant citrus aroma with a nice malty background. We purposely added the majority of the hops at the end of the boil as well as dry hopping. This single hop beer exemplifies the virtues of Citra hops. The malt is American two row with a small amount of Vienna malt to bring out the caramel goodness. The flavor brings out grapefruit and lemon flavors from the hops.
