This beer is inspired by the perfect dessert for anniversaries and birthdays alike, the Banana Split. We brewed this beer with a blend of malts, flaked barley, lactose, and sugar cones. After fermentation we added cacao nibs, vanilla beans, and walnuts - then fruited with bananas, strawberries, and pineapples. Finally, to bring everything together, we aged this beer in bourbon barrels.

Style: Lager - Vienna

Batalla de Puebla, uses heirloom ingredients to celebrate the bold flavors of Mexico. Bloody Butcher corn, and regionally, hand malted, craft Vienna malt from our friends at Riverbend Malthouse, combine to deliver a fragrant surge of biscuity malt and rich nuttiness. A dash of premium, single source, raw blue agave nectar contributes a quenching finish that begs for another sip. The result is a lager that is velvety smooth, shockingly crisp, and gently malty, with hints of freshly baked bread and soft baking spices imparted by the unique grain bill. Thanks to the indigenous artist, Obed "OP" Vallejo for a truly remarkable label that pays homage to Cinco de Mayo and the resilience of the Mexican people.

This ale is every iteration of cacao we could conjure. Just think "deconstructed cacao". Expect a dense, crisp, earthy brew with a deep, dark chocolate smoothness, a touch of bitter funk, and phantom notes of citrus on the nose. Still not convinced it's enough cacao? We mashed cacao husks, boiled fresh cacao fruit pods, and fermented the ale with a rare strain of wild yeast harvested from the previously thought extinct.

Electric Aloha is a tiki inspired sour ale fermented in oak barrels. A blend of floor malted barley, malted wheat, and flaked oats were used as a foundation while aged hops allowed the beer to sour appropriately. A hefeweizen yeast strain was used in conjunction with lactobacillus and brettanomyces to create a unique fermentation profile. Lastly the beer was rested on passionfruit, coconut, and key lime juice to make a beer reminiscent of a passionfruit daiquiri.

Kaimiskas, or Lithuanian farmhouse ales, are an intriguing look into old world flavors. Prepared as “Raw Ales”, this unboiled beer is heated to pasteurization through it’s unique brewing process, with a very hot, long mash, then lautered through whole cone hops and fresh cut organic hay. We used some craft Heritage malt from our friends up at Riverbend malthouse, along with wheat, rye, and oats to replicate some of the common farm ingredients that old world brewers might have had on hand, and then fermented warm with a unique strain of yeast isolated from a famous Lithuanian Brewery. The result is a unique, quaffable beer with notes of caramel, toast, bitter lemon, and white pepper.

Hourglass Brewing - Wolf Shirt Lager
Style: American Light Lager
ABV: 4.60% IBU: 8.0

Wolf Shirt Lager is a Light American Adjunct Lager. We used floor malted pilsner barley, flaked corn, and flaked rice to give the beer a light, refreshing flavor, body, and pale color. Just enough hops were used to balance out the beer. A bottom fermenting yeast strain was used at cold temperatures to give the beer a refreshingly clean flavor and aroma. Nothing says America like light adjunct lagers and wolf shirts!
